So thieves decided to target a new innovative cafe located 6600 S. Woodlawn last week. Launched by Chef Q, 7323 Chicago Cafe is a seasonal outdoor eatery that provides delicious grab-and-go meals and refreshments for the Woodlawn community and Chicago-land area.
Customers can grab their meal and go or sit in the Flying Squirrel park behind the cafe and enjoy their meal. Similar to Bronzeville’s Boxville concept, Chef Q crafted his cafe out of a shipping container.
Their menu includes a sun-dried tomato chicken pressed panini, gourmet ice cream sandwiches, and a honey lavender lemonade.
They opened on August 6th and have received an outpouring of love and support from the community, but on October 4th, 7323 Cafe was robbed and vandalized. The miscreants took several items including their generator.
“We love serving our community through food and connectivity, and we know that with your help, we could gather the support we need to get back to business,” said the owner.

October 10, 2022 at 5:47 pmDo not be deterred by what appears to be a temporary setback. This is part of doing business in Chicago, especially when you’re a pioneer. Think about it… who else is doing anything creative like this in Woodlawn?
So, stay the course! Haters are just doing their job: hating. You must stay the course by faith.
